Build your list on any device, check items off as you shop, and it stays saved in your browser for next week. Prefer paper? How to Use the Weekly Grocery List
- Add items. Type an item and the list picks the aisle for you. Add several at once by separating them with commas, or tap the common items you buy every week.
- Add amounts and prices. Note a quantity next to any item. Turn on Track prices to see a running total and how much of your budget is left.
- Match your store. Under My store's aisle order, move sections up or down so the list follows your usual path through the store.
- Shop and check off. Tick items as they go in the cart and hide the checked ones to see what is left. After the trip, Uncheck all keeps your staples ready for next week.

Build the List From Your Meal Plan
A grocery list works best when it comes from a plan. Start with the free meal planner, which turns a week of meals into a shopping list with quantities for your household. Use this page for the extras that are not tied to a recipe, like coffee, snacks, paper towels and toothpaste.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the grocery list saved?
Yes. Your list is saved in your own browser on this device, so it is still there when you come back. Nothing is sent to Burpy. To use it on another device, copy the list and paste it into a note or a message.
How does the list know which aisle an item belongs in?
It recognizes about 300 common grocery and household items and places each one in its usual store section. Anything it does not recognize goes to Other, and you can move any item to a different section with the menu next to it.
Can I print a blank grocery list template?
Yes. Click Print blank template for a one-page list with every store section and empty lines to fill in by hand. Choose Save as PDF in the print window to keep a copy.
Can I track how much my groceries cost?
Yes. Turn on Track prices, type the price next to each item, and the list keeps a running total. Add a budget to see how much you have left.
What should be on a weekly grocery list?
Start with the ingredients for the meals you plan to cook, then add breakfast and lunch basics, snacks, drinks and household items you are running low on. Check the fridge and pantry first so you only buy what you need.
